Open Kiteboarding Community by Kiteboarders for Kiteboarders

Saturday the wind was solid but not nuking....just 15 knots or so with the the wind coming with enough northwesterly that it was a perfect side on keeping the usual LP breakers under control. There were about eight of us out there. I had my 17m Contra dialed in with my 135 Nobili and the conditions were so solid that I just couldn't stop. The sky were a mix of sun and cloud and whenever the sun popped through it lit up the the LP afternoon waters like stage....but the view, as always was best, from the water on a board ripping along beside a fully juiced kite. When I finally did stop around 5:30, the wind was still solid...but old guys need their rest too

dude - first rule of windsports - don't leave wind to find wind - the wind speed is inversely proportional to the distance you drive ;-) live and learn...

Good to hear! On Saturday, I took a nice drive up to Sauble. I hear they get lots of wind up there, but not that day. Around 4pm I was informed that it was blowing 16kts at LP... arg... oh well; it was a nice day for a drive.
