the rest of my hatteras trip.

so i did'nt finish this. the rest of the trip was sweet. kited everyday. the worst day i still got out for like 2.5 hours. there was about 1.5 hours on my new twin and my 14m and the other hour was on my new skim.

the last day i was there was insane. wind started off at 30-35 knots and waves started off at 6-8 feet. mid way on an 8 kilometer downwinder, the wind pickedup to 40-45 and the waves jacked upto 12-15 feet. so overpowerd on a six nano (thanks again jim) and my 127. i ended getting wor… Continue

day 2 and 3

so day two was great. got a solid 6 hour session in on hte sound. day 3 was even better. we started off at 9:30 behind our house. rode for about 2.5-3 hours thne packk the gear into the van and headed to kite point for a downwinder. we went from kp to just noth of the frisco camp ground. it took us just over and hour and forty five minutes. after all the kiteing we deciced to go for dinner. when we got back it was still wind so we went out and kited till the sun went down.

Hey Matt. I would like to try the 10m out. Probably when he gets better he would like a 14m, but for now, he would have a hard time with the extra size and power. We will have to hook up at a beach in the next month or so and put the kite in the air.

Cheers, Doug

Matt, are you the same guy kiting today at Turkey Point? If yes, then nice meeting you and your friend Dave. He is doing very well. Not like me - drinking plenty of lake water today... ha. ha.

Hey Matt, was that your ad I saw on the Chicken Loop for Thrusters? If so, I am looking for a kite, kind of a one kite quiver for a friend of mine who is just starting out. He only weighs about 145 lbs, so he doesn't need anything big. He is trying to learn on an 8m c-kite that I sold him, but the kite sucks so I am looking for something in the 8 to 10m range that would work for him to learn on. I am looking for something stable and forgiving and would work for a lightweight in 10 to 20 knots of wind. Are your kites still for sale, and would they work in this application? Let me know. Cheers. Doug.

cool man. i'm glad i could help. if you can see the bladder wher the deflate valve should be then you nee to but something in the leading edge to cover the hole. if the baldder is exposed there's a good chance it'll pop.
are you going to lp today? i'll be there by 11. if you want you can try my 2008 9m nano.
