Congratulations Amy and Clay

Amy and Clay were married on the weekend - beautiful wedding.
Could have been a bit warmer weather and maybe some more food - but hey, you can't have everything
(it was hot - really hot and everyone was well fed)

Big Congratulations - hope you get some wind on the Honeymoon, I doubt if you'll have much else to do if you can't kiteboard ;-)

Technical question about this site

As a general question - why are all the posts and discussions on here in the last part of the year done as blog posts? I keep looking at the forum to se what the recent posts are but everything seems to be as a blog. Call me old school but isn't a blog supposed to be for some kind of personal entries like a journal on line?
Shouldn't general discussions be on the forum?
I keep going to the forum to see where people are going and anything new but no posts there. Looks like the forum for this grou… Continue

photos from Sunday at Long point

Here is a link to photos from sunday at Long Point. I found a lot of shots from people further out were really dull in lighting and some were just a little fuzzy from distance, dull light, blowing sand and high wind. i put a lot in of Matt and some of Jim and then most shots of other people were on the beach not as much action. If you view it as a slide show there is a progression through the shots - kind of a story of the day.

a few photos from saturday

Saturday turned into a fairly clear but high wind day - it just cranked on and only a few of us were there and only a couple of people had brought kites small enough. It was gusting up to 35 knots mid afternoon. Most wind was high 20's with gusts
I posted some shots - most are of Drew out riding so when you go to the link on my photo sets, look for the photo set named "Drew's big day_LongPoint" It was high wind but typical Long Point it was churning waves breaking all over the place. Most shots… Continue

Hi Mark

Are you still a rep for Ocean Rodeo?

I was wondering about the 08 or 09 Mako if you have a price on them.

Hey Mark. Long time no talk. How was your winter? Did you get out kiting much? Anyway, do you still carry Seaspecs sunglasses, and if so how much and do you have any in stock or do you need to order them? Please let me know.

Cheers. Doug

Nice pictures Mark.

One of these days you are going to have to turn the camera the other way. You don't even have a picture of yourself for your page!!

See you at the beach, cheers.

Doug.

hi, mark.

i spoke with kyle about your reply, just now [we work together]. he's interested in getting the replacement lines from naish to ensure that, as you have noted, the lines will stretch equally over the lifetime use of the bar and lines.

so far, he has done a bit of research on-line and has a few leads. so, in short, it looks like he'll be ordering naish, replacement front-lines. i'll keep you posted on what he finds.

thanks again for your prompt response and willingness to help.

hey mark -

thanks again for giving me a hand after colliding with me on saturday. i appreciate it.

that said, kyle is down a bar and lines with the sheared loop on his leader lines [2007 naish 5 line bar]. can we work together on it to get him back up and rolling? it looks like the minimum would be to replace his two front lines for equal stretch/wear. let me know what you think. i'll be in touch with boardsports and likely jack and jills to see if they can get us some lines to sort it out.

let me know your thoughts - thank you!

Hey Mark,
How things going? It's been a while! I will be working in Chatham tomorrow (staying overnight in Windsor) and I'm planning to go kiting after work around 3:30-4:00. Should I go to Rondeau or Lake St-Clair?? It's supposse to be SW and I think it may dome on Erie because it's supposse to be really hot. Where would you go. I really don't want to get skunk, it's been a long time since I had a good session. If I get some wind, I'll ride untill it's dark!!
